WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
Who should take this course?
This course is among the most popular of all courses because of the history associated with wrecks. Ships, airplanes and even cars are fascinating to explore and usually teem with aquatic life. Each wreck dive offers a chance for discovery, potentially unlocking a mystery or spying something others have missed. Go Dive Pacific’s Wreck Diver Specialty course is popular because it offers rewarding adventures while observing responsible wreck diving practices.
If you’re at least 15 years old and have earned a Adventure Diver certification or higher, you can enroll in the Wreck Diver Specialty course.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
There are many different types of wrecks, some of which are protected by laws that guard their historical and cultural significance. Your training starts by reviewing guidelines for researching and respecting wrecks. After four dives with Go Dive Pacific’s instructors you will be able to:
Understand the safety considerations for navigating and exploring wrecks.
Be able to survey and map a wreck.
Use penetration lines and reels to guide exploration.
Use techniques to avoid kicking up slit or disturbing the wreck and it’s inhabitants.
All in all by completing the wreck diving course with Go Dive Pacific you will be able to explore various wrecks around the world and take your sense of excitement in diving to the next level!
This course can be taught as a 2 dive non-penetration course or a 4 dive penetration course. The 4 dive option is referred to as advanced wreck. This is NOT the same as the TDI course by the same name and does NOT allow the same penetration guidelines. This is strictly a limited penetration course. (ie. penetration in the light zone ONLY)
