DIVER STRESS AND RESCUE
Diver stress is a major cause of diving accidents, but it can easily be prevented and resolved. Join the SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty program and learn how to help yourself and other divers stay safe.
WHAT IS IT?
Diver Stress and Rescue is a comprehensive program designed to help you manage emergency situations that may occur during a dive. In this course you will go over the theory, practice the skills in controlled conditions and then put your skills to the test in a series of simulated emergencies. You will learn self rescue as well as emergency prevention techniques.
WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
Any diver who wants to be the safest they can be and wants the knowledge, training and practice to deal with emergencies.
If you’re at least 12 years old and have earned a first aid and CPR training certificate in the last two years you can enroll in stress and rescue.
What will you learn?
You will learn many ways to keep yourself and your buddies safer on your dives and you will learn what to do if the worst happens including:
Dealing with stress
Buddy assist and buddy rescues
Rescuing an unconscious diver
And a missing diver search, among others.
All in all by completing the stress and rescue course with Go Dive Pacific you will taking the proactive steps to stay safe on your dives.

Minimum Experience Rating: Advanced adventurer or advanced open water with 50 dives.
Tour Includes: Three nights accommodation with meals a the Lermontov Lodge, Three days diving with boat dives, including dives on the Mikhail Lermontov. Weights and all other equipment.
Number of dives: The Stress and Rescue course technically includes 6 dives but as we are constantly in shallow water practicing rescues and on the surface a lot of the time it may feel like more or less.
What to bring: Warm clothes, hat, sunscreen.
