On February 17/18 1944 the Japanese supplied naval base in truck lagoon east Caroline islands was attacked by a us navy carrier based fleet of over 53 ships and 500 aircraft./code named operation hailstorm. The result was total devastation of land based support facilities and over 34 ships, one submarine and 235 aircraft. Many of their remains now lie within recreational diving depths and to the diver are a sobering reminder of the devastation and suffering of war. Go-dive cherry picked the best of the wrecks and match your experience and ability to each. We limit each tour to 8 guests with 4 guests per boat. Keeping our group small gives you plenty of flexibility and long run times. Allowing you to make the most of your time diving these wrecks.
